Performax is a technological platform providing online advertising services and helping publishers optimise and monetise their advertising space. For this it leverages its own advertising technology with automatic optimisation, the largest programmatic advertising systems in the world and above all, priceless know-how gained through its many years of experience in the industry.
Because we are transparent in our business, we’d like to explain our technologies below in plain language, to help users understand how our services process personal data. This Privacy Policy describes Performax’s practices and policies related to the usage and processing of data when providing services.
To ensure online privacy, Performax is in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation of the EU (GDPR), the ePrivacy regulation and follows the Transparency and Consent Framework standard of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB Europe), where it is also an officially registered vendor under ID 732 (Vendor List TCF).
Performax provides a platform that helps website or mobile app owners utilise the advertising space. We also have tools for processing and measuring data, which we use to check and manage the entrusted advertising space, as well as to detect and prevent fraudulent activities.
When we use the term “information”, we mean data generated through our services, which are implemented on the websites of our clients.
This Privacy Policy describes in detail how the information managed by Performax is used in our services.
In order to operate its services, Performax may collect and use the following information:
Device identifier (px2uid)
In order to link each interaction with an individual device, Performax generates a unique ID for each new device that reacts with any form of advertising from Performax or from website tracking. The unique device ID is stored using cookies with localStorage in the user’s browser for the domain of the given website, as well as Performax’s domains.
This data has no relation to a px2uid and is not stored on the servers. Information is primarily used to manage the sequence with which advertising formats are served and to comply with their frequency limits. This information is only saved to the browser’s localStorage related to the web and serves for the management of the current advertising request. It includes:
Performax uses cookies, localStorage and tagging scripts to collect information associated with a browser or mobile device.
Cookies are small text files saved in the web browser by a website or advertising server. By saving information in cookies, websites and servers can remember your preferences or recognise the web browser from one visit to another or from one website to another.
LocalStorage is a local storage location used to save information that it is desirable to transfer between visits, but which doesn’t need to be sent to the server.
Tagging scripts are small code segments in a web page that are executed by the web browser and allow communication and data transfer between the browser and the server.
Performax uses cookie files for various purposes. When we use the term “cookies“ we are thinking about cookie files and other identifiers, such as information stored in the browser’s localStorage. Cookie files generally allow us and our clients to target adverts to users, to evaluate how well the adverts are working, to manage and limit how they are served. All Performax cookies expire 90 days after the last activity is recorded. Performax stores no cookie-file-based information for longer than 13 months. In other words, all data that might be associated with your internet devices are deleted after 13 months at the longest.
